BANKSERV ALLIES WITH AUCTION BROKER SOFTWARE

Partnership to Provide Online Payments Capabilities for Internet Auctions

November 13, 2000 - SAN FRANCISCO AND TAMPA, FL - BankServ, one of the nation's leading providers of Internet payment services, and Auction Broker Software, a leading developer of dynamic eCommerce auction solutions, eProcurement solutions and eMarketplace solutions, today announced an agreement for BankServ to provide payment options for Auction Broker's business-to-business (B2B) online auctions.

BankServ provides a suite of straight-through online payment services for B2B eCommerce. Auction Broker will incorporate several BankServ solutions into its software, including secure online Automated Clearing House (ACH) Internet checks and funds transfers, online domestic and international wire transfers, online authentication, credit card processing and invoicing services.

Acting as an Application Services Provider (ASP), Auction Broker Software offers Auction Broker™ 4.5, a dynamic pricing application that allows individuals or businesses to quickly implement a robust, easy to use online auction. Through administrative tools and wizards, Auction Broker's software offers the flexibility to quickly create a market-specific online auction with minimal technical expertise.

"Auction Broker has developed a number of innovative concepts and options to make B2B auctions truly useful online," said Jamie Rubin, East Coast Internet strategic alliances manager for BankServ. "These include the ability to place Auction Broker Software on multiple search engines at once, and the ability to view multiple communities as separate auctions for the benefit of Internet integrators. As we move from face-to-face, paper-based marketplaces, to online paperless markets, it is critical we develop electronic functions that take advantage of the possibilities of the new Internet media. Auction Broker is doing just that."

BankServ's commitment to security online was a key reason Auction Broker chose the company to provide its payment services, according to Wesley Beaty, vice president of sales and marketing for Auction Broker Software. "BankServ has developed not just one online payment service, but incorporated in one package all the payment and payment-related services that online auctions and marketplaces would need to remove paper from the transaction process," said Beaty. "In addition, they already have a respected track record as a payments provider on the Internet, and in the brick-and-mortar retail and financial services worlds."
