BankServ Signs Up Community Financial Services, Inc., of Denver for Global Funds Exchange (GFX)

October 15, 1999 - SAN FRANCISCO — BankServ, a leading provider of software and online services to the banking, financial services and retail industries, has signed a new technology licensing agreement with Community Financial Services, Inc., of Denver.

Community Financial Services, Inc./Sturm Financial Group, which operates numerous banks within Colorado, Wyoming and Kansas, signed a multi-year agreement to use BankServ's Global Funds Exchange (GFX) wire transfer technology to conduct daily wire transfers through the Federal Reserve's Fedwire system. Monetary terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

GFX improves automation of a bank or financial institution's wire transfer operations. With GFX, users can originate domestic and foreign funds transfers and monitor related activity automatically, with minimal operator intervention. GFX also includes automated OFAC (Office of Foreign Asset Control) screening, is Y2K compliant and can be linked to a low-cost Internet cash management service hosted by BankServ.

The banks within Sturm Financial Group have combined assets of $1.1 billion. The major focus of this network of community banks is providing services to the commercial, professional and small business market segments, in addition to trust services and retail/consumer business.
