Senior Database Analyst — San Francisco

Position Type: Senior DBA
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Experience: 5-10 Years Experience
Desired Education Level: College or Equivalent Work Experience

Experience Required:

Minimum of 4 years experience in Oracle 8.1.7, 9i, 10g technologies.

Fluent in backup and recovery, Oracle utilities as well as performance tuning.

Detailed knowledge of Oracle DBMS software with an awareness of the capabilities and shortcomings.

Knowledge of Database DR solutions

Experience in supporting Java-based applications, JDBC is desirable

Experience with XML a plus.

Development skills are a plus.

OCP certification is a big plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, support and manage existing Oracle databases

Work closely with engineering and operations to develop/update new databases

Develop and maintain PL/SQL code

Install, upgrade, configure and maintain Oracle software and databases

Database Administration, tuning, monitoring, backup & disaster recovery, capacity and infrastructure planning, and database security

Managing large production databases, with Four Nines (99.99%) uptime requirement
