C Developer

Job Description: The Software Developer’s role is to analyze functional requirements, write, code, test, and analyze software programs. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software throughout the development life cycle. The Programmer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide status reports where required. 

This position will work with our International division in London, but we will also consider candidates who wish to work out of our main office in San Francisco, our branch office in Las Vegas or independently in the Boston area.

Qualifications:

Articulate and professional

Application or System development using C on UNIX (3 years minimum)

Development experience with one or more of the following specific RDBMS: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, Informix

Development experience with one or more of the following specific UNIX versions: Solaris, HP, AIX, NCR

Desired Education and Experience

Graduate with sound academic background

SWIFT messaging or CBT exposure

Application or System development using C on Windows (in addition to UNIX)

Application software development on a software product used in Banking or Finance

Database Schema design

UNIX shell scripts and basic system admin

Complex scripted builds using GCC, make etc.

Other

Exposure to non-SWIFT financial messaging standards (FIX, Fedwire, CREST etc)

Exposure or MQ Series or other middleware

Embedded SQL development

TCL/TK development

TCP-IP/Sockets development

Experience with SWIFT or Financial Messaging would be a real plus for this role but we are equally happy to cross-train candidates with the right technical background.
