Software Development Engineer — Wire Services Division
Location: San Francisco
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
The Software Development Engineer is responsible for development in support
of the Global Funds Exchange (GFX) Wire Transfer system. The GFX system is a software package that supports the delivery of domestic
and international wire transfers for banks and bank customers through the
Federal Reserve Bank's Fedwire network and the international SWIFT network.
The Software Development Engineer is responsible for development support of a
Windows 2003/Oracle/C/C++ client server application. Other development may
include interface work with financial institution host accounting and other
systems.
This is a full-time position, which requires a great deal of patience and
attention to detail.
Skills and experience required:
C, C++
Oracle and SQL
Knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Windows XP
Windows Programming Skills (Microsoft Foundation Classes/Visual C++)
WEBSPHERE MQ
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot quickly and efficiently
Must be skilled at working independently with minimal direction
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor (appearance and communication)
Experience with Java and TCP/IP socket programming are helpful but not required. Experience with banking applications is a plus, expecially if related to wire transfers.
